Disaster Chaplaincy Services, working directly with the Red Cross of Greater New York and the New York City Office of Emergency Management as we have for over a decade, will be providing non-denominational spiritual care to thousands who have been impacted by Hurricane Sandy. Your financial support at this time is urgently needed for us to continue our work. To donate click the black button on the upper-right corner of our homepage.
Our volunteer corps is made up of over 140 chaplains representing 28 faith traditions and come from a diversity of ethnic backgrounds speaking 30 different languages.
Since 2001, Disaster Chaplaincy Services chaplains have volunteered over 60,000 hours, working side-by-side with other emergency care professionals. We strive to provide spiritual survivor care as well as peer support.
